ILLUSTRATIONS
The NTLN illustrations are custom-made by Declarative and are digitally painted by designer/illustrator Alicia Pangman. The visuals were inspired by the Trust’s dedication to “keeping local news in local hands” — and their focus is on highlighting the voices of local communities by bringing everyday moments to life.
The goal was to create scenes that feel tangible and form a sense of familiarity with the events and routines that cycle through the news in small communities. To create the feeling that each illustration is a glimpse into the same, cohesive world, every scene is rendered in the Trust’s color palette, resulting in vivid portraits of the communities and people NTLN was created to support.
